John (Jake) Geppert was born in the 1960's in Ridgewood NJ.
He grew up in Ramsey NJ and Played in the school band.
He dad several rock groups in high school including :Parodox
Parodox won the talent show at Ramsey High 1983
Jake discovered Banjo & bluegrass from Old & in the Way
He studied music at Bergan Community Collage Paramus NJ 1984
where some of his Instructors previously worked at Juliard school of music
Jake lived in Counsel Bluffs IA from 1985 to 1989 and recorded with Shady Grove (bluegrass band) 1987.
He moved to Vermont 1989 and formed the Goat Jumpers, a Grateful Dead cover band 1990 -97. Jake then formed the Bondville Boys 1991, popular Southern Vermont bluegrass band, who are still together twenty years later.
He joined Drowzy Maggy 2001 and then left Maggy in 2003 to persue a solo career in music and has since formed Beyond Further, an acousitic jam rock band, started in 2004 that are still going strong today.
